She starts Jan. 14 and replaces weekend meteorologist Eboni Deon, who was promoted to WSB in Atlanta. Both WFTV and WSB are Cox Stations.
Crimi worked at the ABC affiliate from 2011 through 2013. She departed in 2013 for a job in Albuquerque, N.M., where she joined her then-fiance.
“Central Florida and I have so much history,” Crimi said in a statement. “I earned my meteorology degree at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. It’s the place where I met my husband and I also had an opportunity to work at WFTV as a meteorologist for three years.”
Crimi, who is a Minnesota native, called Florida her second home.
She will join anchor Daralene Jones on Channel 9 Eyewitness News on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Crimi has worked at KOB and KRQE in Albuquerque as well as KRCG in Jefferson City, Mo.
She graduated with cum laude honors from Florida Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in meteorology. At Florida Tech, she was captain of the women’s basketball team. She also had an internship at WFTV.
