Jean-Marie Londeix (September 20, 1932) is a French saxophonist born in Libourne who studied saxophone, piano, harmony and chamber music.
Jean-Marie Londeix took classes with the legendary Marcel Mule at the Paris Conservatory. He also studied with Fernand Oubradous and Norbert Dufourcq, among others. He then served as the saxophone instructor at the Conservatory of Dijon for 18 years. He retired from the National Conservatory of Bordeaux in France in 2001.
He is the founder of the "French Saxophonists Association" and the "International Saxophone Committee"
More than 100 varied compositions have been written specifically for him, and he has published several pedagogical works. Londeix pioneered as a saxophone performer around the world, many times giving the first solo saxophone performance of these international concert halls.

Biographie
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]Jean-Marie Londeix wurde 1932 in Libourne in Frankreich geboren. Bereits in jungen Jahren erhielt er eine umfassende musikalische Ausbildung, die neben dem Saxophon auch Instrumentalunterricht am Klavier und der Violine umfasste. 1951 bis 1953 studierte er in der Klasse von Marcel Mule[1] an dem renommierten PariserKonservatorium, welches er als erster Saxophonist überhaupt mit der höchsten Auszeichnung abschloss, dem Prix d’Honneur[2].
Nachdem er 18 Jahre am Konservatorium von Dijon in Frankreich lehrte, wechselte er an das Nationale Konservatorium von Bordeaux und zog sich 2001 zurück. Während seiner langen Lehrtätigkeit bildete er viele bekannte Saxophonisten aus, u. a. Richard Dirlam, Perry Rask, Russell Peterson, Ryō Noda, Nelly Pouget, James Umble, Ross Ingstrup und Nikola Lutz. Weit über 250[2] Uraufführungen von für ihn komponierten Saxophonstücken führte er auf und spielte er ein.
