Austrian physician (1906–1980)
Johann Friedrich Karl Asperger (, German:[hansˈʔaspɛɐ̯ɡɐ]; 18 February 1906 – 21 October 1980) was an Austrian physician. Noted for his early studies on atypical neurology, specifically in children, he is the namesake of the former autism spectrum disorderAsperger syndrome. He wrote more than 300 publications on psychological disorders that posthumously acquired international renown in the 1980s. His diagnosis of autism, which he termed "autistic psychopathy", garnered controversy. Further controversy arose in the late 2010s over allegations that Asperger referred children to the Am Spiegelgrund children's clinic in Vienna during the Nazi period. The clinic was responsible for murdering hundreds of disabled children deemed to be "unworthy of life" as part of the Third Reich's child euthanasia programs, although the extent of Asperger's knowledge of this fact and his intentions in referring patients to the clinic remain yet to be ascertained.

Méthodes d'intervention en autisme
Les méthodes d'intervention en autisme sont des stratégies ou méthodes visant à aider les personnes autistes à compenser leur situation de handicap. Comme le précise l'OMS, il n'existe pas de traitement curatif de l'autisme.
Issues de diverses théorisations, ces approches sont principalement éducatives et psychothérapeutiques. Elles peuvent suivre d'autres aspects. Il existe enfin une dimension médicameuteuse, voire alimentaire.
Histoire et société
[modifier | modifier le code]En France, les prises en charge subventionnées par l'État ont lieu en établissement d'accueil, dans les services médico-sociaux, et au sein de l'Éducation nationale[1]. Elles associent éducation et prise en charge spécifique à l'autisme. La prise en charge pédagogique est assurée par l'Éducation nationale, les actions spécifiques à l'autisme sont assurées dans l'institution médicale par des praticiens : professionnels médicaux ou para-médicaux. Dans le secteur social, les personnes autistes sont accompagnées par des éducateurs spécialisés, moniteurs-éducateurs, aides médico-psychologiques et psychologues.
